Getting Here
Hotel Riviera Ramatou Plage is easily accessible to international arrivals. The hotel is just a few kilometers from the airport- Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport (LFW). With light traffic, driving can take as quick as 10 to 15 minutes. There is generally no complimentary shuttle service from the hotel but official yellow taxis are available at the airport arrival hall. The fare should be negotiated before getting in because, due to the distance, most drivers would ask for a very reasonable amount.
For travelers coming overland from Ghana, the Aflao border is just a few kilometers west along the same coastal road. This makes it a popular stopover for those doing the Accra-Lomé-Cotonou road trip. Once you cross the border, it is a straight shot down the beach road to the hotel. However, be aware that traffic on Boulevard du Mono can be heavy during rush hour, as it is one of the primary arteries for the city.
Taxis or moto-taxis locally known as Zémidjans would best serve your means of transport around the city from the hotel. The Zémidjans in Lomé can easily be identified by their yellow shirts. They are quick through traffic but different standards of safety apply, so use at own risk and always ask for a helmet. For comfort and perceived added security, the hotel reception has on call a preferred taxi driver who they can contact for you- highly recommended when going out at night or during daytime excursions to Togoville or Lake Togo.
