Near Hotel

The hotel is situated along the famous Boulevard du Mono, main coastal road on the shores of Gulf of Guinea. This puts you in a strategic location: physically separated from the chaotic traffic of downtown Lomé by large garden walls, yet still geographically proximate to everything. Immediate neighborhood? A slew of other hotels and diplomatic residences- not to mention the wide expanse of sandy beach forming the southern edge of the city.

You are both culturally and logistically well placed. The Grand Marché (Central Market) – only a short 10 to 15 minute taxi ride away – famous for its "Nana Benz" fabric sellers and organized chaos, is teeming with life. You are also not too far from the Village Artisanal; an excellent place to buy local handicrafts, wood carvings or leather goods without being forced into as much haggling as in the main market. The area around the hotel can generally be considered safe for walking during daytime hours although on the beach itself at night due to lack of lighting and security it should be avoided.

The mood of this section of Lomé is constructed by the ocean. The Atlantic here is strong and noisy, a constant accompaniment to your stay. While the hotel is ‘beachfront’, the beach in Lomé is public and working-class. You will see local fishermen pulling in their nets in the mornings and groups of young people exercising or playing football in the evenings. Outside hotel gates, it offers real Togolese life with a quiet sanctuary inside walls loud outside-constructed-by-ocean.
